At Expression Kawaguchiko, our morning, lunch and afternoon menus are curated to reflect the essence of each part of the day. We also offer a takeout menu — perfect for grabbing something delicious while exploring the lake or for locals looking for casual French flavors to enjoy at home.
Our menu is designed by Executive Chef Hiromi Koshimizu, whose background spans top-tier French kitchens both in Japan and France. His cooking blends classic techniques with a light, approachable flair.
Many of our dishes highlight the freshest vegetables and fruits from Yamanashi, letting you experience the region’s natural flavors and changing seasons.
Our attention to detail goes beyond our food. We offer scented oshibori (wet towels) served either warm or cool, depending on the season and the meal – reflecting the deep care and hospitality cultivated by our parent company, FSX, Inc.

Nestled in the Fuji-Kawaguchiko area, Expression offers breathtaking views of Mount Fuji and the ever-changing nature surrounding Lake Kawaguchi. The area blends both the liveliness of a tourism hub and the quiet rhythms of local life — a balance that drew us to take root here.
Our spacious interior, designed to let soft natural light fill the space, with some seats looking straight out to Mount Fuji.
Outside, the terrace is wrapped in lush forestry, offering a space where you can enjoy your meal or coffee while soaking up the breeze and the shifting seasonal colors.
Executive Chef
Hiromi Koshimizu
After graduating from culinary school and working four years at a restaurant in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, Hiromi Koshimizu spent the next four years working in various roles at Michelin-starred kitchens in France.
Upon returning to Japan, he led kitchens at a members-only hotel and top Tokyo restaurants, earning awards along the way.
In 2020, he launched his own culinary brand, bringing a fresh perspective that goes beyond traditional restaurant culture.
